 El equipo de desarrollo de WinAmp acaba de liberar una nueva versión de WinAmp, la 5.3, que solventa algunos problemas y mejora algunas funcionalidades de la versión anterior.
El reproductor más veterano del panorama nos presenta una nueva versión de su buque insignia.
Facilidad de uso, aspecto configurable, plugins programables, buena calidad de sonido, envía y recibe streaming, y muchas mas opciones.
A destacar el soporte para la mayor parte de los formatos de audio (MP3, OGG, AAC, WAV, MOD, XM, S3M, IT, MIDI, etc) y video (AVI, ASF, MPEG, NSV).
Su apariencia puede ser alterada mediante pieles, soportando tanto skins para Winamp 1.x/2.x y pieles para Winamp 3.
Destaca de la nueva versión la funcionalidad "Remote", que permite a sus usuarios controlar el reproductor desde cualquier ordenador conectado a Internet, de hecho lo transforma en nuestra radio particular permitiéndonos acceder a nuestra colecciones de canciones desde cualquier lado.
